Martijn Dekker began his sporting career as a contest swimmer. As a swimmer he participated in several National Championships where he often managed to reach the podium.At the age of 16 he started to participate in some triathlons and two years later he made the full transition to triathlon. In triathlon as well as at the junior stage as at the elite stage he achieved Dutch titles on the sprint and ½ triathlon.
In 2017 he joined our team and became Dutch Champion 70.3 in Nieuwkoop, came in 2nd in Club La Santa Volcano ¼ Lanzarote, 6th in the Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote and 8th in the Ironman 70.3 of Luxembourg.
In 2018 yet again he will focus on the Ironman 70.3 editions and he will also compete in the Ironman editions. In the long run his goal is to win Ironman editions and to finish as high as possible in the Ironman of Hawaii.
